    I just wanted to make sure Rick and anyone else who was going to come out knew about this. I haven't found any news on the actual fearjam thing, so hopefully ele will be able to clear that up. The promoters are trying to salvage what they can, hopefully the show is still on but knowing Sneaky Pete's (I live within walking distance of that place) they'll cancel since there's the slightest chance that they won't get the headcount they bargained for.

    I know, man! It's hard to believe one asshole with a telephone took out an entire convention. The silver lining in this is that if it does go on in May, then the weather will be much better. Sneaky Pete's in the dead of summer is not a fun place to be. Triple digit heat + a nasty ass, stagnant lake = hordes of mosquitoes, extreme humidity and an unholy stench that stays on your skin for a day or two. Plus there are a lot of cottonmouths this time of year.

    I was really looking forward to this though.

    @ ele: You may want to check into this, I don't know what GR's deal with fearfest was regarding airfare. I'd hate to see the guys waste their own money on plane tickets.

    Edit: I just realized they'd most likely drive, but oh well.

    They usually get flown out. I wouldn't be surprised if they have tickets they can't use now.

    It's too short of notice to set up another show too. Calabrese would be in the same boat as well regarding the airfare. Those 2 bands would be enough for the show of the year here in Texas. If this shit would have happened a month or so ago I would have volunteered to help out setting something up. The only venues that would be open 2 weeks out from now probably couldn't afford to pay the bands' price.

    This marks the third time I've been screwed out of seeing Mike. I'm beginning to think my bad karma is affecting his tour schedule.

    HEY! WELLL... there are plenty of people still traveling from out of state to Dallas/Lewisville.

    Perhaps if we can get an RSVP of people of going - since Fear Fest paid for the tickets - they can still use them to make up for cancelled show. I'm sure there is a venue in Dallas that will hold Calabrese and Gotham Road.


    I wouldn't think Calabrese would get flown out - they aren't that far of a drive. I'd be driving further than them. - plus, they'd be getting paid - I'd be paying for my trip and to see them. Totally worth it though to hear Melts Away and Helena
